Martin Chodúr with band – One Thousand and One Nights

The concert Thousand and One Nights presents songs from the new album of singer and composer Martin Chodúr. The album is inspired by the legendary book of stories from the Middle East. The author was inspired by the book mainly because of its interesting literary structure and form, or rather the endless possibilities of how to perceive the story. This multilayeredness can also be found in the songs, which tell a realistic story of the world we live in, but reflect a world of stories, labyrinths, love and magic. Here we find the snow-covered Beskids merging with the dunes of the sandy desert, genies escaping from open champagne bottles, or the ever-so-slightly different Cupid. Like the famous book, the album is a mixture of various styles from pop to almost art rock. The connecting element is the voice of Martin Chodur, who guides the listener through this mysterious world, much like Scheherazade in the book. You can look forward to lyrical songs, big ballads and energetic songs full of life accompanied by the five-piece band MACH. The 75-minute concert will feature all the songs from the new album and will be accompanied by an album launch.
