The 28th annual Czech Press Photo competitive exhibition can be seen at the National Museum until the end of July.

Eight photographic categories were announced this year with 234 photographers competed, submitting over six thousand images. Entries were submitted electronically throughout the month of September. The expert international jury worked from 13 to 15 October at the Czech Photo Centre gallery and consisted of: the jury chairman – Petr Mlch, editor-in-chief of the CTK photo bank, Evgeniy Maloletka and Mstyslav Chernov, Ukrainian photographers working for AP, Czech photographer and documentary filmmaker Dana Kyndrová, EPA reportage photographer Filip Singer, Hungarian Press Photo representative Tamás Szigeti and Panos Pictures director Adrian Evans from the UK.

In the large-format photographs you can see not only the winning images, but for the second year also the work of young promising photographers from primary and secondary schools who competed in three categories in the Czech Press Photo Junior.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a rich accompanying programme: lectures, guided tours, author presentations and days with Canon and Samsung.
