Youth Culture Parking Lot: GÜRTEL GOLD! Summer Open-Air Closing 2023: Let’s ring in the season ❤ Without cars, with lots of love, seeking space, finding equality.

Join us dancing and loving! Be mindful of the surroundings and the environment! There are plenty of rubbish bins! Steamed out chick please don’t leave it on the ground! Do we need more cars or more space for youth and youth culture? Who owns the world, nature, man, business or machine?

SUPPORT & PROMOTE INSTEAD OF PUNISH & SUPPRESS
We ask the city, the state and the federal government to look together with the youth for what unites us within our society instead of what divides us. Just because people are young and give space to their youth does not mean they should be punished and oppressed. On the contrary. Let us all build a better future together, young and old. We therefore ask politicians and administrators to give young people and their culture space, support and opportunities. Here’s to good cooperation!

STAGE INSTEAD OF PARKING SPACE
12 square metres – that’s about the size of a car park. On average, a car is parked there for more than 23 hours a day. A waste! 🙁 big sad
But what if you put a stage on it, invite a few cultural workers and experience a day full of art, music and literature together with the neighbours?
How about giving the youth a chance and a place for their youthful expression? With the Gürtelgold & Bay of Hooba series of events, we want to present visions of a city worth living in and at the same time raise the question of whether we could manage to make the street space what it once was: a place of communication and encounter, where people come together and social life takes place. Join us on our common journey in search of land justice for all*!
