The Budapest Sweets Festival, focusing on chocolate and sweets, will take place between 22 and 24 September this year. Europe’s 4th largest open-air, sweet-themed event will be held in front of the Basilica on St Stephen’s Square, where you can taste the delicacies of the best chocolate and confectionery producers, as well as the best of the best from renowned confectioners. Hungarian chocolate and confectionery producers have been recognised in recent years with some of Europe’s most prestigious professional awards, so the quality change already taking place in gastronomy could soon reach the confectionery sector and confectioners will also be able to take their rightful place.
