The work based on the novel by the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes and the music of Ludwig Minkus was first presented by Marius Petipa in 1869 at the Tsarist Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, and since then this ballet jewel has been adorned by people around the world. The ingenious director of classical ballet works intertwined the love story of the forbidden love of Kitri and Basil with the fantasy world of Don Quixote, who set out in search of the lady of his heart. Ballet as a synonym for the eternal struggle with windmills is presented in the study of experts in the classic works of Vasily Medvedev and Stanislav Feč. A spectacular setting with an atmosphere of sunny Spain, spirited music full of southern motifs and dynamic choreography, presenting the virtuosity of the soloists and the choir promise an extraordinary experience.
