SPECIAL LITERARY WALKS
János Arany on Margaret Island
Under the oaks
So cosy here!
(János Arany: Under the Oaks)
In a thematic walk through the most important place in Arany’s life, visitors can visit the places the poet loved, with poems and anecdotes, both well-known and less well-known: from the oaks immortalised in the poems of the Őszikék cycle, through the memories of fellow writers and descendants who were fans of Margaret Island, to the Nagyszálló, where Arany lived and worked in the last period of his life.
