Vanitas art exhibition builds upon the theme of death and its beauty, using the old but still inexhaustible symbols of skulls and flowers, where the skulls present the suffering of death and flowers traditionally stand for the beauty and joy of life. Vanitas brings this Renaissance theme and symbols into the context of the present times, while comparing it to history, thus creating a complex picture of this theme and its interpretation – the hidden beauty of death and the implicit suffering of life – through the works of more than 60 artists of different generations, origins, and using different art forms. Death has never been more colorful, so do not hesitate to come and see this exhibition for yourself!
