Salon of Artists 2021 – a collective exhibition of 88 artists, Gratitude to Creation, Gratitude to Myself, Gratitude to the Earth. The salon of artists will once again shine as an extraordinary cultural and artistic opportunity for artists from the Little Carpathians, Bratislava and the Bratislava region, where they can present their work in a collective exhibition in the modern premises of the Zoya Museum – ELESKO Wine Park in Modra. The event is organized by the Small Carpathian Education Center in Modra under the founding authority of the Bratislava self-governing region. The main partner of this exceptional event is the Art Support Fund, which supported it from public sources.
The salon of artists grew in the 25 years of its existence to the age of a young man who has already gained life experience, but still has a fire, optimism, joy and a desire to experiment. He already understands values and traditions, but he feels the need to put new things into his life, which constantly move him forward and improve. Therefore, variety, diversity and playfulness are the attributes of this exhibition, both in genres and in themes and techniques. Here you will find works by mature non-professional artists, which intertwine with the works of studied and respected authors – masterpieces of art conceived as paintings, sculptures, reliefs, objects, textiles and jewelry. You will smell the smell of oil or wood near the exhibits, the colors of acrylic, pastel or watercolor will play your eye, the reflections of bronze, glass or polished stone will tickle you, you will be surprised by the variety and variety of textile processing. It is the work of 88 artists who have decided to present their work together in this jubilee year. Many well-known names appear in his portfolio, which could contribute to his prestige, but the role of the Salon is to unite, not to compete, to be grateful for his gift – to create.
As part of the exhibition, you can also see the collective work of the authors of the Salon of Artists 2021 entitled “Gratitude to the Earth”. We all feel deep in our hearts that we have neglected this topic for a long time and it can be said that they have also deliberately postponed it. It is no longer an ecological or political theme, it is a deeply emotional theme – the theme of love for one’s native chest, for a life-giving planet that carries us patiently on its back, for a being named Earth.
The curator of the exhibition and its direct participant is Mgr. Pavol Šima-Juriček.
You can read about all artists in short annotations in the well-arranged catalog Salon of Artists 2021.
