Artists’ Salon 2022 – collective exhibition of 77 artists of the Bratislava region. In the lightness of being is the essence of living, joy flows from it, beauty gushes from it, creativity springs from it.

For the twenty-sixth time, the Artists’ Salon will be born into its three-month stage of being in the modern premises of the Zoya Museum Gallery – ELESKO Wine Park in Modra. Every year it is different, enriched with new works and new authors, but it sticks to one thing – it traditionally remains an extraordinary cultural and artistic opportunity for artists from the Small Carpathians, Bratislava and the Bratislava region, where they present their work as part of a collective exhibition. The event is organised by the Small Carpathian Enlightenment Centre in Modra, under the jurisdiction of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region. The main partner of this exceptional event is the Art Support Fund, which supported it from public funds.

In this edition, you will once again be introduced to the big names of professionals, who will be countered by mature amateurs. For ninety-four days, the austere white walls and the concrete of the minimalist interior of the gallery will be dressed in a colourful dress of paintings by Igor Piacka, Ladislav Černý, Ján Fekete, Marian Komáček, Martin Kellenberger, Igi Breza, Ľubica Ema Mazik, Miroslav Dzur and dozens of other artists. Artistic photographs by Michal Šebeňa, Petr Brenkus, Dušan Křístek, Stan Jendek, Ján Stříš, Evla Vlašičová and Richard Gottschall will also take their place here. You will be enchanted by the splendour of nature-inspired jewellery by Maria Špánikova or Lucie Svobodová, complemented by the fragile and playful mini-objects of Sonia Ďatel Kozáková. The gallery’s airy spaces will be filled with sculptures, objects and sculptures by Vít Bojňanský, Martin Dzurek, František Hubeek, Andrej Frič or Ivana Golianová. There will also be art textiles from the workshop of Darina Lichnerova and Silvia Stránská. The portfolio of techniques and genres of art, or the crowd of authors exhibiting at this year’s exhibition, is very long – 77 authors will present their work through 130 artworks. And in mid-June, all the pieces of this large mosaic will come together to form one common artwork under the name of Artists’ Salon 2022.

Within the exposition of the exhibition you can also see the collective work of the authors of the Artists’ Salon 2022 under the title “In the lightness of being”.

The curator of the exhibition and simultaneously exhibiting author is Mgr. Pavol Šima-Juriček.

You can read about all the artists in short annotations in the overview catalogue Salon of Artists 2021.
