From the May 12 to the 15, Casal Bertone will be transformed into a capital of street food for the first time! Around 20 exceptional street chefs will be competing in the Piazza Santa Maria Consolatrice. Come and enjoy an unforgettable show with grills and pans on which they will create delectable dishes. It will be a gastronomic outing that will spoil even the most demanding palates, full of tasty surprises, including gluten-free and vegetable.
WHAT WILL YOU FIND?
A voyage of discovery of traditional Italian flavours, express fried squid, baby octopus and salt cod, swordfish and tuna sandwiches; from Basilicata the legendary caciocavallo impiccato and peperone crusco. From Sicily, cannoli, arancine, bread and panelle, sfincione, “pane ca meusa” and cassatine. Arriving in Puglia, we find freshly baked pucce to be stuffed with roast octopus or grilled vegetables with burrata, the authentic bombette di Cisternino cooked on a spit over the embers, panzerotti and home-made focaccia from Bari. Moving up the peninsula we arrive in the Marche region, with classic Ascolane olives, truffle olives, fried mozzarella and aubergine balls; passing through Abruzzo, tasting the real arrosticini of sheep and beef. Fantastic sandwiches with hamburgers made from scottona beef, but also fillet steak cooked at low temperature. And then back to Lazio, with local delicacies such as the legendary artichoke alla giudia, tonnarello cacio e pepe, many varieties of express supplì such as gricia, broccoli and sausage, carbonara and amatriciana; and how could we not mention his majesty the Ariccia pig, but in a gourmet version.
And why not try international flavours?
Our extensive menu may well surprise you: there will be slow smoked BBQ with pork ribs, chicken wings, pulled pork and much more. From Mexico come nachos, burritos, tacos and margaritas; while from Spain comes the real Paella Valenciana, cooked in traditional frying pans, accompanied by homemade sangria. For dessert lovers, there are hot bombs and doughnuts, express tiramisu, freshly baked and filled pastries and maritozzi with cream. Exclusively for TTS Food, from the oldest Bavarian craft brewery comes the Landshuter Brauhaus beer, unfiltered raw beer, a true excellence. The days are getting longer and, while enjoying an aperitif in the open air, you can’t miss a stop at Bollicine, a chiringuito offering excellent cocktails for all tastes!
