Albín Brunovský exhibition

This Slovak illustrator created his own combination of reality, dream, fantasy, as well as colour etching and aquatint technique perfection to our fine art. His works are full of the polarity of reality and mysteriousness of imagination, things and phenomena usually combinable. Surrealism, sensibility and lyrism, that´s typical for his work, his way how to poetize the most ordinary relations of man and nature. He is well known as an illustrator of children´s and adult books. Winner of many international awards such as the Biennial of Graphic Arts Prize in Lugano, Italy, the City of Paris Award at the Youth Biennial and the Biennial of Graphic Arts Prize in Krakow, Ljubljana, Varna and Venice. His dreamy fantasies and mysterious ways will make you feel like you just hopped in some type of fairy tale, but one of those old ones, the adult kind, the ones not always ending with “happily ever after”.
