Summer Jazz Festival Kraków

08.07.2022

The biggest Polish jazz festival, gathering outstanding Polish and foreign jazzmen.

The Summer Jazz Festival in the Cellar under the Rams was organized for the first time in 1996 during the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Cellar under the Rams. The founder and director of the Festival – Witold Wnuk, inspired by the legendary Piotr Skrzynecki, presented a month-long series of daily concerts in the Cellar in July. Year by year the Festival expanded its formula, presenting, besides daily concerts in ICE Krakow and the Cellar under the Rams, concerts in the Philharmonic Hall, the Krakow Opera House, Auditorium Maximum, Radio Krakow, the Manggha Centre, all jazz clubs in Krakow, as well as great outdoor concerts and events – such as the New Orleans Sunday and Jazz Night.

Currently the festival is the biggest Polish jazz festival and one of the biggest in Europe.
