City Hall Film Festival

The Film Festival in front of Vienna´s City Hall has been a trademark of this city for more than 30 years. This year once again a programme has been prepared for all lovers of great cinema. Come and enjoy the mixture of culture, cuisine and flair of this city of ours. Between June 29 and September 1, 2024, Europe’s largest cultural and culinary festival will once again be held in the heart of Vienna.

For more than 30 years now, the City of Vienna has been inviting you to enjoy free cultural events on Vienna’s Rathausplatz every summer. For 65 days, the Film Festival will once again offer a unique combination of great musical productions and first-class gastronomy in the open air.

A programme of superlatives awaits! In 2024, the Film Festival will deliberately present a particularly appealing cultural programme with crowd-pullers that have sold out halls, concert halls and opera houses worldwide.

Whether opera, classical music, pop, rock, jazz, dance, world music or musicals – a truly top-class programme awaits on the City Hall Square this year.

Food?
For more than three decades, the Film Festival has been making the hearts of foodies and friends of good cuisine beat faster. What could be better than enjoying excellent culinary delights with loved ones in front of one of the city’s most attractive backdrops?

Whether international food, local dishes or cool drinks: This year, the festival on Rathausplatz will once again have something for every taste. Details will be published shortly.
