The best of 10 years – Il Volo Tour. Are you a lover of opera pop? If your answer is yes, you’re in the right place! The Italian band Il Volo consists of baritone Gianluca Ginoble and tenors, Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto. They characterize the style of their music as “popera”. The beginning of their singing career can be considered performance in the singing competition in Sanremo in 2009. The musical trio was originally called “I Tre Tenorini”, but later changed their name to “Tryo”.
In 2010 they were renamed Il Volo and the group still has this name. In the same year, they also recorded their first album. This album became successful and well-known not only in Italy. The most popular single from this album is without a doubt the song “O sole mio”. The group has also participated in various charitable events in the USA. The band’s second album was released in 2012. The album contains songs not only in Italian but also in English and Spanish and duets with Eros Ramazotti and Placido Domingo. In 2015, they participated in the Sanremo Music Festival, where they performed the song Grande Amore. With this song they won and got the opportunity to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. They took third place and thanks to this competition they became popular all over the world.
They later released their third and fourth albums and won many international awards. The latest album was released not only in Italian but also in Spanish and international versions. This year, the band again announced a tour called The Best of Ten Years Tour and will perform in Rome on October 20, 2021.
