The Month of Francophonie in Slovakia returns in March 2020 for the sixth time with a special and varied programme dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the International Organisation of Francophonie. This national event brings together all friends and lovers of the French language and Francophone cultures across Slovakia: from Bratislava, Nitra, Žilina, Banská Bystrica, Zvolen, to Košice and Prešov. The vast majority of Francophonie Month events are free of charge and are aimed at lovers of film, music, art exhibitions, as well as literature, theatre and discussion lectures.
Francophonie Days 2023 are aimed at the general public, schools and universities. French, a language spoken by 300 million people worldwide on all five continents, is constantly evolving. The 2023 edition will illustrate this diversity in the country through cultural and educational events in a face-to-face or online format.
