Vegan feast will come to the Old Market Hall on Sunday, 25 September. Enjoy the best of sustainable, respectful and delicious cuisine. Restaurants, shops, producers offering purely plant-based food, cosmetics and drugstores that have not been tested on animals.
In addition to a wide range of food and drinks, you will traditionally be treated to a full day of accompanying events.
1. NIKOLETA KOVÁČOVÁ – DISCUSSION
Nikoleta is a Slovak food blogger who has been trying to motivate people to choose a plant-based diet through vegan food and cooking for more than 8 years. She has published three vegan cookbooks under the title Slovegan. The latest cookbook, Slovegán 3, came out just a month ago and focuses exclusively on vegan desserts and cakes. At the Vegan Feast, you will have the opportunity to purchase all of the Slovegán cookbooks and have them signed live by Nicolette at the same time.
2. SLOVEGÁN BOOK LAUNCH 3
You are cordially invited to the baptism of the sweet Slovegán 3 cookbook! The godmother will be Kristína Tormová. After the baptism, come by for a book signing and dedication!
3. LUCIA ADAMJÁKOVÁ – COOKING SHOW
Lucia is the social media manager for Humane Progress and alongside that she is working on her @easyvegan.life profile. She started the profile at the beginning of last year because people around her kept asking her what she could eat as a vegan. Today, she regularly shares quick and tasty vegan recipes on it.
4. SLOVAK VEGAN SOCIETY – LECTURE AND COOKING SHOW
Lucy and Kika are the coordinators of the Green Canteen project. They help university canteens to incorporate nutritious and tasty vegan meals into their daily menus and give them full support as they learn new dishes. Thanks to the Green Canteen, half of the country’s public universities can eat vegan.
5. RADEK LÁTAL – VEGANISM: A PANACEA OR A PATH TO MALNUTRITION? (LECTURE)
Radek is a nutrition consultant specialising in veganism and plant-based diets. He graduated in Human Nutrition at the Slovak University of Agriculture and holds a certificate in Plant-based nutrition.
SILVESTER ROŠTÁR – MODERATOR OF THE ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME
Silvester is currently working as an editor at Novy Čas. A native of Banská Bystrica, he studied journalism at Comenius University in Bratislava. He seeks his meaning in life in culture and music.
BIANKA BÁLINTOVÁ – MODERATOR OF THE ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME
Bianka studies journalism in Bratislava. You may have already come across her Zero2Hero articles or seen her work in the media team of Humane Progress.
