Vasa Museum

15.06.2021 - 31.12.2024

Vasa Museum is a Swedish national museum located on the island of Djurgarden. Inside the museum you can find Vasa military ship from the 17th century, which sanked in Stockholm in 1628. What is interesting is that Vasa is well conserved due to cold, dark, almost oxygen-free waters, where the wood is well preserved.

In the Vasa museum you can find the traditional costumes of people who have sailed on the ship or see skeletons of the people who died on board. Vasa Museum is the most popular museum in Sweden and after you have visited it you will understand why.
