Sports Festival for Older People

A day dedicated entirely to active aging. On June 12, Bikás Park will host the Senior Sports Festival, a free community event offering tailored fitness activities, expert advice, and health screenings specifically for participants over the age of 50.

Organized by the Hungarian Leisure Sport Association, the festival promotes the importance of regular physical activity among the older generation and turns healthy living into a shared, joyful experience. Attendees can try more than 50 different types of exercise — from nordic walking and spinal gymnastics to light ball games and musical movement sessions. All activities are guided by qualified coaches and animators, allowing participants to join in at their own pace.

Free health screenings are also offered, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, BMI calculations, bone density tests, dietary counseling, and consultations with physiotherapists and rheumatology experts. The festival’s Health Island focuses on both physical and mental well-being, providing preventive health insights and relaxation options.

In addition to sport and wellness, various organizations will showcase programs and services that support a fulfilling and social retirement. The event is supported by the State Secretariat for Active Hungary and funded by the National Health Promotion Support Fund (NETA).

Participation is free of charge, but access to activities and screenings requires registration and a wristband. Pre-registration is available online, with on-site registration also possible. Members of registered groups do not need to register individually.
