Budapest Wine Festival

From September 9–12, the Buda Castle Palace will once again come alive as the Budapest Wine Festival returns for the 35th time!

The four-day event is the perfect choice for anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant autumn evening with great wines, delicious food and music, while taking in one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Budapest.

Thousands of Hungarian wines will be waiting for visitors at the festival, while this year’s special focus will be on the two American continents. Alongside well-known wines from Hungary’s wine regions, visitors can discover exciting New World wines, unique flavors and different wine cultures.

Of course, gastronomy also plays an important role. Premium dishes, special culinary treats and complimentary tastings will complement the wine experience. Those who would like to learn more about wine can also take part in professional programs and meet winemakers in person. At the stand of the Hungarian Wine Academy, for example, visitors can meet and chat with renowned winemakers.

The evenings will be filled with music too!

Live music performances, concerts and DJs will make sure there is plenty of reason to stay after the wine tastings. For those looking for an extra-special experience, VIP tickets will also offer an exclusive selection of drinks and premium services.

One of the festival’s greatest attractions is the location itself: the terraces of the Buda Castle Palace offer stunning views over Budapest, making it possible to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset and the city lights come alive. The atmospheric courtyards, wide selection of wines, delicious food and music create a truly special autumn experience.

The festival will welcome visitors from September 9–12, 2026, on the terraces of the Buda Castle Palace. Opening hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 PM to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Current ticket prices start at HUF 4,450 for the Explorer day ticket, while the full-day ticket starts at HUF 8,900 and the four-day pass from HUF 16,900. The special tasting selection featuring wines from the American continents is available from HUF 2,500.
