Between 11-13 October, the Hornbread Festival awaits the sweet tooth at the Zoo, where the traditional delicacy can be sampled in a myriad of flavours. The festival will also feature handicrafts, interactive activities and family entertainment. As well as a special gastronomic experience, the festival is also a celebration of the love of nature, so you can discover the zoo’s inhabitants alongside the delicious horn cakes.
This year you can visit 13 hornbread baking stalls, including a curiosity – the makers of the Lithuanian cousin of the hornbread – true original Šakotis makers!
There will be several stages and programme venues with children’s performances, acoustic concerts, bands, craft activities and much more for horn cake fans!
