A celebration of Hungarian jazz

On 14 September, the Hungarian House of Music will host the Hungarian Jazz Festival, where the most outstanding artists of the Hungarian jazz scene will take to the stage. The event offers an exciting musical journey through different genres of jazz, showcasing the diversity and talent of Hungarian jazz. Don’t miss this unique musical experience where jazz fans and music lovers alike will find the performances that excite them most!

In 2024, on Saturday 14 September, there will be a full day of events called Hungarian Jazz Celebration, with free outdoor concerts, book launch, awards ceremony, evening concerts with combined season tickets – organised jointly by the Hungarian Jazz Association and the Hungarian House of Music.
The Nart Orchestra, the Bohém Ragtime Jazz Band and Kovász will perform on the open-air stage, Gábor Szántó T. will present his book about János Gonda in the Auditorium, and the Hungarian Jazz Festival awards ceremony will take place before the evening concerts. In the Concert Hall, the Szakcsi Lakatos Róbert Trio will play from 20:00 and Tzumo Gypsy Dreams will close the day from 21:30.
