Cucumber mushroom days

The mushroom season starts this weekend, so you can take part in the Mushroom Days at the Hungarian Museum of Natural History. If you’re interested in the world of mushrooms, want to broaden your knowledge and want an interesting weekend activity, this is the place for you! With the help of experts, you can dig deep into the subject.

Would you like to try examining the invisible stamps of large mushrooms (spores, tubes and basidiomycetes) under the microscope? Then this is the programme for you! Bring as many wild mushrooms as possible to the event, where we will identify and exhibit them together, and our expert colleagues will answer all your questions!

You can also enter your most informative mushrooms in a mushroom beauty contest, where you can win valuable prizes! Test your mushroom knowledge with a mushroom toss game. For younger children, we have a colourful children’s programme. You can visit the programme with a museum pass, which also entitles you to visit our exhibitions! On Sunday admission is free. The Mushroom Days are a joint event of the Hungarian Museum of Natural History and the Hungarian Mushroom Association.
