There’s no Saturday without a Czakó Market! At least for us, and if you’re not one of us yet, we hope you won’t be soon either! With renewed energy, more energy, smiles and lots of seasonal producers, we’re looking forward to seeing you again this Saturday.

This weekend at Czakó Market, alongside lots of good producers, we’re back with fresh Raclette. But do you know what raclette is? The word raclette comes from the French word “racler”, meaning “to scrape” It’s said that local shepherds in the Alps used to build bonfires in the evenings and put the cheese next to the fire. Here, on Saturdays, this cheese speciality is melted onto French baguettes, smoked ham, pickled cucumber and a special spice mix.

If you’ve always wanted to cook with Hungarian ingredients, but it was too much trouble to check the origin of everything, if you want to eat seasonally but have no idea what’s growing, or if you just want to shop in a pleasant family atmosphere, preferably not in a mall, and the supermarket offer is getting boring, then your place is at the farmers’ market!!!

Don’t think that there are no local vegetables and fruits in winter. You will find plenty of goodies to help you get your daily vitamin needs. Have a delicious Bányai coffee or apple punch at Czakó Market, have breakfast at Panelpék fresh bakery, walk on the beautiful Sun Mountain or visit Citadel.
