On Friday, Louis Tomlinson will visit Budapest to play a thrilling concert at the Budapest Arena as part of his Faith in the Future tour! The former member of one of the most successful boy bands of all time, One Direction, is the songwriter behind many of the band’s hits and 38 songs in total. In 2016, the year of the band’s dissolution, he released his first solo single, followed by a series of singles and then his first solo album, Walls, in 2020. Following the release of his second album, Faith in The Future, in November 2022, the singer embarked on a world tour, including a performance in Hungary on 15 September.
Tomlinson released his debut solo album in 2016, which reached number two on the UK singles chart and went platinum in the UK. In the following years, he released a steady stream of singles, finally releasing his first solo album, Walls, in January 2020. The album debuted at number 4 in the UK and reached the Billboard top 10 albums chart in the US.
Tomlinson would have toured for most of 2020, but due to delays caused by the epidemic, he was finally able to embark in February 2022, and played a total of 81 shows on his first solo tour.
During the restrictions of 2020, he gave a streaming concert in London that sold over 160,000 tickets, and currently holds the Guinness record for the most tickets sold for a live streamed concert by a male artist.
The singer has announced that his second album Faith In The Future will be released on 11 November 2022, followed by a brand new world tour.
Louis Tomlinson’s first concert in Hungary will take place on 15 September 2023 at the Budapest Arena.
