The renewed pedestrian street of Újlipótváros, Hollá Ernő street, will host weekend jazz concerts on 18 and 19 August. The mini-festival will feature the youngest generation of jazz musicians performing in the open air, offering quality live music. The musicians, all undergraduates of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, will perform in duo and trio formations, occasionally joined by a still very young but already renowned singer.

The festival is organised by Kult13 in close collaboration with the Budapest Jazz Club.

18 August – Danyi Diána – János Egri Jr. Duo
Danyi Diána grew up in a family of musicians. At the courses of the Snétberger Music Talent Centre, she was guided by Nikoletta Szőke, among others. The singer is able to convey emotions in a way that belies her age, using Hungarian folk songs, songs in Spanish and Portuguese, and American jazz ballads as her means of expression. Following in his father’s footsteps, János Egri Jr. has dedicated his life to jazz music, and while he is an excellent singer, he is also recognised as an outstanding jazz pianist by the profession and the public.

19 August – Bolyki – Kiss Duo
Bolyki Barbabás, born in 2001, is the owner of a very promising and unique singing voice. Her father is the founder and a pillar of the Bolyki Brothers, so there was no question about her career choice. As a child, he learned to play the cello and then self-taught guitar and piano. Among his foreign idols, Kurt Elling and Bobby McFerrin are among the first to be mentioned. The final song in the series is accompanied by the outstanding young keyboardist Károly Kiss.

Participation is free of charge!
