Night of Artworks Festival

From 18 to 20 May, the seventh edition of the Night of Artworks Festival will take place. Visitors will have the chance to go behind the scenes of museums, studios and galleries in 50 venues across Budapest with nearly 100 programs. This year’s festival will focus on the role of women in art, showcasing their presence and contribution through a range of activities. However, the festival will also strive to offer special programs accessible to people with disabilities, to ensure a meaningful cultural experience for all.

Workshops will include Herend porcelain moulding and painting techniques and the basics of concrete embroidery. The professional lectures will feature a wide range of exciting topics on art trade, jewellery history, paper antiques and contemporary art from top experts in the field. They will reveal the warehouses, restorer’s and artisan’s workshops. We will visit the studios of contemporary artists, where we will have the opportunity to gain an insight into their creative process. As in previous years, there will be exciting thematic walks and film screenings, and children and families will be invited to join in with guided tours. This year’s festival will offer art lovers a selection of exciting new venues and activities, with 12 different types of programs to choose from.
