On the occasion of the blooming of the Japanese cherry, you can go for a spring walk in the Buda Arboretum on Saturday. Visitors can discover the secrets and history of the arboretum along thousands of spring flowers, evergreens, special plants and old trees. You can explore the gardens on your own, but if you really want to immerse yourself in the world of plants, you can take a guided walk and also gain an insight into the stories of the precious buildings of the place.
What does the mysterious term “hanami” mean? And the “sakura festival”?
The Japanese cherry is a national symbol of Japan and part of the Japanese identity, and its flowering is the biggest event of the year. Among the sea of petals wafting in the wind, we can forget our daily lives and marvel at the extraordinary diversity of species and varieties.
Amid the bright green April foliage, lily trees, variegated tulips, daffodils and thousands of spring flowers, we discover the secrets and history of the arboretum. We’ll wander among rock gardens, evergreens and special plants and visit the arboretum’s oldest trees, 120 years old. They have a story of their own.
Tickets on the “Korzózz Velünk” website.
Entrance to the Buda Arboretum is free, the fee is for the guided tour.
