If you wish to escape the buzz of the capital for the weekend, the town of Zebegény is only an hour’s drive away, where they are preparing an excellent gastronomic event. On Saturday, November 5th, on Goose Day, you can taste delicious BBQ and confit goose, foie gras, plum jam and many more autumn flavors. You can secure your place for the event by pre-registration, which can be done via a message on the “Füstölgő Sarok BBQ” page.
This year we are bringing our very favorite, Goose Day. As usual, the cholent will be in the smoker for a day, I prepare the goose legs with the BBQ technique or confit. I will cook a lot of foie gras and greaves. We again cooked an excellent plum jam, a quince dip and of course our stewed cabbage with grapes. Brioche with goose fat and pickled red onion.
