IN MEMORIAM VILMOS TÁTRAI // 110TH ANNIVERSARY CHAMBER CONCERT. Vilmos Tátrai was the founder of the world-famous Tátrai String Quartet and the Hungarian Chamber Orchestra, a legendary concertmaster of the Hungarian State Orchestra (National Philharmonic Orchestra), and a distinguished professor at the Budapest Academy of Music. As one of the most influential artists of 20th century Hungarian music, he spent his entire life working for the national and international recognition of Hungarian music.

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the violinist’s birth, the 75th anniversary of the Tátrai String Quartet and the 65th anniversary of the Hungarian Chamber Orchestra, we will recall the golden age of chamber music with the participation of renowned performers.

The chamber music tradition spanning time and generations will be represented by the unique interpretation of the new generation of talented musicians; violinist Lilla Székely Anna Székely and the Korossy Quartet, a quartet of Junior Prima Prize-winning talents.
