On August 28, the House of Hungarian Music is organizing a series of concerts on the occasion of Hungarian Jazz Day. The best of the Hungarian representatives of the genre will perform, which you will be able to see with the purchase of a HUF 1,000 ticket. You can hear, among others, the Sárközi Dina Quintet, the Oláh Szabolcs Quartet, and the Varga Bendegúz Quartet, but the organizers are also preparing an informative performance.
What makes jazz jazz? The celebration of Hungarian Jazz Day will begin with an interactive performance, in which Balázs Bágyi, jazz drum performer and composer, president of the Hungarian Jazz Association, will present the features and interesting features of the genre. Young saxophonist Márton Papp, who was recently awarded the Louis Armstrong jazz talent award by the Hungarian Jazz Association, and his band, Jazzpince, will participate.
Jazz is one of the most defining musical styles of the twentieth century, its origins can be traced back to several continents and musical traditions, and it owes its diversity to this.
