Monuments Photo Exhibition

The Secret Mapping Experiment is a non-profit project that creates unique visual compositions through secret light experiments on abandoned buildings and sealed-off areas, evoking the forgotten history of these structures and landmarks. Their photographic exhibition, Monuments, will be hosted by Memento Park in Budapest, where visitors can view the collection of images, object mappings, and unique light experiences projected onto giant sculptures. What’s more, the proceeds from the exhibition will fund a future secret building projection.

This time, their manipulations of light have drawn elements of a series of images where, by juxtaposing separate elements, distances and boundaries are lost, the monuments become “transportable” and form new spatial dimensions different from their original surroundings. Their photographic exhibition of light-space manipulations of memorials with different backgrounds will be hosted by Memento Park – Sculpture Park Museum from 5 to 7 May 2023, providing a unique atmosphere. Visitors will be able to view MONUMENTS, a collection of images exhibited in authentic spaces, as well as object mappings composed on a model and exhibits, and after dark, a unique light experience projected onto giant sculptures in the museum’s outdoor park.
