The weekend will see the Sidewalk Festival of music, gastronomy and civic events that mobilises local forces. Music, culture and gastronomy events will take place from noon to 8pm in various locations along People’s Theatre Street. The aim of the event is to highlight the fun that can be had in the capital’s surroundings.
The event is open to both residents of the area and those who want to close the festival season with a free, friendly, underground event. The aim of the organisers is to show that it is possible to organise an event where people can have fun in an urban environment and without the need to maximise profits.
