This year, you can also look forward to the Magic Garden Festival, a multi-art festival that connects the younger and older generations of artists and various forms of artistic expression in Rudavsky’s Magic Garden on June 27, 2026.
During one evening, concerts, exhibitions, installations and meetings will be connected among sculptures, under the trees and under the stars in the pleasant atmosphere of the garden, which has naturally become a place of creation and meetings for artists for years. Magic Garden offers space for free art, new talents and established creators and connects generations through music, visual art and free creation.
The program will include, for example, the happening project of the artist Ján Raška “Brand Art: Navigating Poetry”, which is created especially for the festival and connects visual art, poetry and performance.
The project involves renowned artists (Jozef Gertli Danglár, Ondrej Rudavský, Xénia Hofmeister, Miroslava Repiska, Ján Raška, Stano Černý, Rasťo Trizma, Robert Bielik, František Skála), actors and writers (Ondrej Kalamár, Ľubomír Feldek, Erik Ondrejička, Daniel Pastirčák, Róbert Bielik, Maja Kadlečíková, Peter Uličný, Ivan Petlan, Martin Černer, Petr Nikl, Jan Sojka, Robert Janda), and it will also include a space for young artists through an open call. (Viktória Valihora, Katka Gertli, Hugo Rayman, Ove Pictures, Dorota Krkošková, Radka Knezo, Oskar Fodor.)
We will also open the opening of the “What Remains: Galandovci and Friends” (working title..) – a collection of drawings, sketches and small works donated to Andrej Rudavský during his life, primarily in this environment. The authors associated with the Galand group, as well as prominent figures of the Slovak and Czech art scene, filmmakers, musicians and academic artists who were part of the wider Rudavský community, are represented. (Mária Bartuszová, Jozef Jankovič, Rudolf Sikora, Milan Paštéka, Rudolf Krivoš, Milan Laluha, Vladimír Kompánek, Andrej Barčík, Ivan Štubňa, Pavol Tóth, Juraj Jakubisko, Miroslav Cipár, Karol Ondreička, Juraj Rusňák, Rudolf Uher, Gabriel Štrba, Peter Roller, Vojtech Kolenčík, Ján Kelemen and many others)
The musical program will bring performances by artists such as Katarzia, Varkocs, Petr Nikl, Tereza Pavlíková and other performances or surprising artistic interventions in the garden area.
