The Ivana Ecetová Quartet will bring the fiery Argentine tango to Devín on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The quartet is a group of professional artists who perform the passionate, temperamental, and nostalgic music of South America.
The ensemble’s repertoire is based on the Tango Nuevo style, pioneered by composer and bandoneonist Astor Piazzolla. However, the compositions are also enriched by works by representatives of traditional Argentine tango, such as Carlos Gardel and Sebastián Piana.
Tango Nuevo represents a unique synthesis of Argentine folklore, classical music, and jazz. Emotional songs in Argentine Spanish, pulsating tangos, and rhythmic milongas are performed by the quartet with distinctive musical and emotional intensity.
The four performers – Ivana Ecetová, Matúš Ferko, Iveta Vojtušová, and Ana Vyparinová Krsmanovič – always offer the audience an exceptional artistic experience full of passion, temperament, melancholy, but also a deep desire for life.
