Tango is a passionate and expressive partner dance that originated in the late 19th century in the working-class neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It combines elements of African, Native American South American and European music and dance styles.

There are several styles of tango, including Argentine tango, which is the most traditional and authentic form of tango. Tango emphasizes connection between partners, improvisation, and communication through body movement. It is not just a dance, but a cultural phenomenon that encompasses music, poetry and a specific way of life associated with the tango community.
