All foodies and foodies pay attention, we have an unusual tasting dinner with beer pairing for you, a good combination, isn’t it?
Have you ever eaten beer before? We have. 🙂 On Friday, October 11 at 7:00 pm, you can try it too. APOLKA restaurant will be serving a specially designed 4 course menu with beer pairings.
Chef Peter Kysucky will turn ERB beer into an exceptional meal where every dish includes beer as an ingredient.
The evening will be personally attended by the first beer sommelier and brewery director Jozef Sivak, who became the first Slovak beer sommelier after completing his educational studies in Salzburg and Munich at the Doemens Brewery Academy.
Restaurant APOLKA is a modern restaurant in Prešporská, where Slovak culinary heritage meets innovative gastronomic approaches. What is interesting is that the restaurant was built on the site of the former headquarters of the Apollo refinery, which was destroyed by 158 American bombers during the liberation of Bratislava in 1944. However, the remains of the plant have been preserved and even after many renovations the building still breathes history today.
The ERB brewery has 15 years of experience in brewing and continues the tradition of brewing beer in Banská Štiavnica. The term ERB has three meanings – it is an abbreviation of Eduard Rada Breweries, at the same time it is the name of the system of mine workings under the brewery buildings and it also has a heraldic meaning.
This craft brewery has gained attention for its unique approach to brewing beer and commitment to sustainability. ERB is known for its dedication to sustainability, often using local ingredients and implementing organic brewing practices. The brewery tends to experiment with different styles and flavors, often using unusual ingredients that reflect local culture and tastes. Like many craft breweries, ERB often focuses on brewing beer in small batches, which allows for experimentation and the production of unique limited edition beers.
