The Little Prince lives in Iceland and will come to Slovakia in autumn! 🤴🖼️

The literary classic, which connects the world of children and adults with its charm, will come to life in the unique illustrations by Eliska Podzimkova.

And literally! In fact, the Czech artist has prepared an interactive exhibition in which the original rendition of the thoughts of writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry moves and speaks to the audience. “Children are the only ones who know what they are looking for.” Become children for a moment and come search for the little prince within you. 📖 🤍🧒🧑‍✈️🦊🥀

Photographs from the “space” Iceland, which are filled with suggestive cartoon ideas by artist Eliška Podzimkova, came to life during a solo exhibition for The Little Prince.

Thanks to modern technology and augmented reality, visitors can make the illustrations move and watch the individual pieces of Exupéry’s story on their phones or tablets.

Magic! Let your imagination guide you and experience intense interactive experiences, for example on the lava sand habitat or on the crawling tongues of scented mist! 🌋 “The aim of the exhibition is to create a magical world of the Little Prince that affects not only the eyes, but also the other human senses. It offers visitors the opportunity to leave everyday reality and return to childhood, at least for a while,” reveals Eliška Podzimková.

The exhibition will include several interactive installations, so you can listen to the audiobook of The Little Prince in the comfort of the tent and at the same time create a shadow play that will be seen by the people around the tent. Those who aren’t afraid can use their hands to explore the inside of the giant egg and feel the animal that lives inside and, if they feel like it, draw it afterwards. And young children can play on the fox-shaped wooden bouncer and laugh as much as they like. ⛺🥚🛴

Eliška Podzimková

is a Czech animator and illustrator whose original technique of combining photography with illustration has appealed to both foreign and domestic audiences. 🎨📸 This order is not accidental, because Eliška’s work first resonated across the pond, where she went when she was still a student of animation. Her path to success was a modern dream come true – her illustrations occupying the streets of New York on Instagram reached a large number of people and the reactions didn’t take long to come in.

Playful, witty collages that transform the reality of everyday life into a fantasy experience led her to work for famous names and brands such as Jamie Oliver, Vogue Magazine and the New York Film Academy. She continues to create short animated videos and photographs even after her return to the Czech Republic. She is well known for her collaboration with musician Tomáš Klus on the Recyklus tour, the project Dokreselné Česko for the iDnes portal, and the animated project Plešůni for cancer patients, among whom Eliška herself belonged as a teenager. Eliška Podzimková entered TEDx in Prague and Forbes magazine included her in the 30 under 30 list.
