Concert of Ildikó Kali and Peter Luha: The Golden Maiden. The album Zlatá panna was nominated for the Radio Heads in the World music/Folk category for 2021. Its songs are seeded in the world charts and successfully represent Slovak World music. Ildikó Kali performs with the excellent guitarist Peter Luh, who regularly plays on world stages such as the Wiener Konzerthaus.
Ildikó Kali’s singing is recognizable from the first moment. She has a varied palette of colours and expressions. In the balladic position her voice can be childishly playful and a moment later old-fashionedly deep. The haunting verse tales of Jan Botta, who delivers the album The Golden Maiden, are supported by mysterious music. Together with the singer’s delivery, they create a palpable tension worth going to a concert for.
