Concert for children: Pánko. A concert for children that will entertain everyone from the youngest to the oldest.
The musical group Pánko has been on the scene since 2015, when thanks to a crowdfunding campaign they managed to release their first CD, Išiel Pánko.
Pánko is not a classic example of music for children – it is, in fact, a family project that aims to entertain all ages (from kindergarteners to grandparents).
On the album Išiel Pánko one can find samples of various musical genres such as swing, bosanova, jazz, rock or even songs spiced with oriental influences. The lyrics of the songs are inspired by the experiences of the children – either they are their own stories or they depict events at home. Some lyrics are also taken from children’s folk songs. For the single Išiel Pánko, Tadeáš (then still 8 years old) wrote the lyrics and with the help of his friends managed to make an animated clip.
The group performs live as a three-piece band consisting of Julián “Pánko” Ratica – guitar, keyboards and vocals; Marek “Kvído” Križan – bass guitar, vocals and percussion (sometimes replaced by Michal “Ježko” Ježek) and Robo “Segi” Szegény – drums.
The performance also includes an interactive mini music workshop. During the concert they will teach children to play various rhythm instruments – so they will have the opportunity to play directly with the band.
The event is financially supported by the Bratislava-Staré Mesto municipality in cooperation with the association I Love Books/Amo libris.
