As is tradition, the musical Noc na Karlštejně must not be missed this summer either. A series of summer performances throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia will once again bring you the legendary story of Karlštejn Castle and the immortal songs of Karel Svoboda.
This original performance has also been nominated for a Thalia Award. During the performance you will hear legendary hits such as Lásko má já stůňu, Asi do věží, Hoja, hoj and many other songs by Karel Svoboda. Some of them have become really popular in the meantime and are sung by the audience as well.
Noc na Karlštejně is one of the most popular and best known Czech musicals. Itʼs a comedy about Emperor Charles IV and his castle. Women were supposedly forbidden to live in that castle.
The show is performed in a historical setting that is not a normal theatre space; the action takes place all around the courtyard, from the windows of the monument, on the walls and among the audience.
