Linkin Park is an American rock band that formed in 1996 in Agoura Hills, California and became an icon of alternative rock, nu-metal, electronica and hip-hop.

They gained huge popularity in the early 2000s with their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000), which included hits such as “In the End”, “Crawling” and “One Step Closer”. The band’s sound has evolved over the years to include more experimental and electronic elements, which was evident on later albums such as Meteora (2003), Minutes to Midnight (2007) and A Thousand Suns (2010).

Linkin Park is known for its unique combination of rap verses, sung choruses, and a mix of heavy and melodic instrumentals. Following the tragic death of lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017, the band went on hiatus, but remains one of the most influential bands of their era.
