International festival Fest Anča

The screening is composed of films that have been selected for the International Children’s Film Competition and screened at the international festival Fest Anča 2022.

In the International Competition section, Fest Anča presents the best short animated films from around the world for children that are not in mainstream cinema distribution. The selected films are different from mainstream productions and present original animation to children. These are titles that are imaginative, work more with children’s imagination and stimulate children to think further about film and deepen their relationship with art. Nine films made in the last two years are included in the International Children’s Animation Competition.

The Anča Award for the best animated film for children was decided by the pupils of the 1st grade of primary schools from Žilina and the surrounding area during the children’s days of Fest Anča for schools at the end of June. Do you know which film won the children’s jury award? Which one do you like the most?

The length of the screening is 52 minutes. The films are without dialogues, so they are suitable for all children. In cooperation with ANČA o.z.

In the Summer Reading Room you will find:

Free lending of books at the Old Town Book Carousel. Books will be regularly replenished in the book house.
