White and black concert under the Nitra sky. Valuable artistic experience, useful information, but especially great fun.

All this will be offered in August by the White-Black Concert under the Nitra sky. Lovers of the delicious golden drink will also find something to their liking. We are joining forces again with the Nitra Beer Festival!

Why the White and Black Concert?

Because nothing is black and white. 🙂 And also because the sound of perhaps the most beautiful musical instrument, the piano, carried through the entire opening of the 1st year. This year is the 4th edition, which will be enriched by the sounds of many other musical instruments and singing voices besides the piano.

There is something for everyone. The concert will please fans of various musical genres.

Programme:

17:00, Domovina

The opening musical toast will be provided by the well-known country band Domovina. They are no old men on the hop, for they often sing about other drinks – Whiskey, that’s my gusto or Whiskey Crate. Nevertheless, they are perfect for a beer festival and their concert will infuse your veins full of energy. Drink it up!

18:00 Vera Karas

Singer, pianist and singer-songwriter Vera Karas comes to Nitra from far away Humenne to offer you a refreshing drink from the indie and pop-rock music keg of her own unadulterated production. Her songs are tender and stormy, humorous and sensitive. She comes straight to us listeners to break down all boundaries, walls and stereotypes.

19:00 Victoria Linnen & Peter Zbranek (duo PV Acoustic)

It’s the popular concert of the duo PV Acoustic of violinist Victoria Linnen and pianist Peter Zbranek again. Together they will mix a tasty cocktail of piano and violin versions of film music and world-famous hits that will quench the thirst of instrumental music fans and wipe the brows of all those who dance to their tunes!

20:30 Kyklop Band

And finally, the icing on the cake, or in this case rather the foam on the beer. Kyklop Band from Olomouc, whose national peculiarity (if not even European and worldwide) is that 80% of them are adult musicians with severe visual impairment. They won’t just ferment on stage, quite the opposite. They will pump out a heaping helping of Czech and world pop, rock & roll and rock hits. Cyclops hits will refuel, the audience will dance!

Interactive workshops

Do you understand guiding the blind like a goose to a beer? Are you as unsure when communicating with a person with a visual impairment as you are after drinking five twelves? Then the interactive educational workshops during concert breaks are for you. They will be led not by any beer lecturer, but by an expert of the title. Marek Hlina, certified instructor of social rehabilitation.

Moderated by Ondrej Rosík

This is a gentleman who is predestined to moderate at the Beer Festival by his surname. An unstoppable torrent of words mixed with a good dose of humour will be the right reward for you in Ondrej Rosík’s rendition. Cheers!
