Lordi

Hard Rock Hallelujah! The monster masks are made up and the horror costumes are removed – in March, Lordi returns to Sweden for two long-awaited concerts. On March 14, they play at Fryshuset Klubben in Stockholm and the following night it’s time for Filmstudion in Gothenburg.

What was born as a twisted idea in Mr. Lordi’s head in the early 90s became a much bigger and broader success than most could have imagined when Lordi – somewhat unexpectedly – won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 with “Hard Rock Hallelujah”. And suddenly Santa Claus had competition to be the biggest celebrity from Rovaniemi, Finland.

Aside from the great costumes, the terrifying image and the humorous elements, Lordi is also a really solid rock band. From the borderland between hard rock and heavy metal, they have delivered track after track of high quality work.

Now Mr. Lordi has released his twelfth album ‘Screem Writers Guild’, which has been hailed as ‘wildly entertaining’. With that in mind, Mr. Lordi once again packs his monsters into the tour bus and heads west.
