Danube Tower

The Danube Tower is one of the places you certainly have to visit if you happen to visit Vienna on your travels through Europe. From up there you have the option to see everything from the bird´s perspective, to admire the beauty of the world as they see it. The viewing platform, positioned at a height of 150 m, does provide a stunning view of Vienna. Visitors can escape the often hectic daily life well above Vienna’s rooftops and relax with happiness while the city and its outer world slooooowly pass by.

The Danube Tower seems to be the only spot in the national capital where guests can enjoy a panoramic 360-degree view. In good visibility, in good wheather, you can see the Rax, Schneeberg, and Bratislava from a distance of 80 kilometres over the surrounding countryside. A visit to this tower is also thrilling for tourists seeing as it provides outlook over the city and is thus an excellent starting point for a stay in Vienna. If the weather gods aren’t so kind, there’s also a glazed indoor terrace that’s open all year in all weather conditions. If you want to take in the distanced view for a little longer, you can do so in one of the upper-level eateries, the Turmcafé or the Turm Restaurant.

The interactive wide angle screens offer information about the surrounding attractions in eight different languages. You can zoom in on the attractions by using the touch function. When you click on one of the attractions, it opens in a larger format with more information. Even in the dark, a special night mode shows visitors the highlights of the city.
