Have you ever eat pizzoccheri ?
Two days of celebration where you can enjoy non-stop, from 12.00 until evening, in addition to the king pizzocchero, chestnuts, mulled wine and buckwheat cake.
Food service: Saturday 7 from 12.00 to 23.00 and Sunday 8 from 12.00 to 21.00
Similar to tagliatelle, but greyish, pizzoccheri are a traditional dish from Valtellina – in particular Teglio – prepared with buckwheat.
The name “pizzoccheri” seems to derive from the root “pit” or “piz” with the meaning of small piece or from the word pinzare with the meaning of crushing, in reference to the flattened shape of the dough.
Between a pizzocchero and the other in the courtyard entertainment and musical interludes with accordionist Vito Gallo among popular songs, folk and old songwriters.
