Katarzia concert

KATARZIA in Bratislava! The distinctive personality of the music scene, singer, composer and lyricist Katarzia has released her sixth studio album entitled “Happy Child” on 6.10.2023 and on Thursday, 4 April she will present it in Kaceček.

New songs were composed by Katarzia largely on the piano, the arrangements and production were co-operated with her by producer and founder of Animal Music Peter Ostrouchov (otherwise also e.g.Peter Ostrouchov), who is also the founder of the Animal Music label.

Katarzia also invited the young Slovak pianist Kristina Smetanova, drummer Roman Vícha and bass guitarist Tomáš Líška. The song Piesok features guest trumpet playing by Swedish trumpeter Oskar Stenmark and vocalist Stephanie Alvarenga, both of whom live in New York.

Thanks to her distinctive lyrics, Katarzia is often described as the voice of her generation. With openness and empathy, she speaks about women’s current feelings through images of interpersonal relationships in the contemporary world.

In the past, Katarzia has won, among other things, the Radio Head Awards and her work has been recognized by the prestigious Berlinare.

Among her biggest hits are the songs Light, Uncomfortable Person, Book of Unrest, Solitude I Don’t Mind, Audacity, At Night, Mont Blanc, Deer and Anger.
