Screening of the film “Renault 12”

“Renault 12” is a cinematic experience based on documentary material: the death of Mohamed El Khatib’s mother. This testimony is a set of confidences, an intimate epic, the accompaniment towards death and what follows: the ceremonies, the repatriation of a body and the administrative hazards.

“Renault 12” is a fragmentary learning narrative that retraces a journey of mourning to the rhythm of its different rituals on either side of the Mediterranean. Two transit perspectives are then mixed, that of a coffin from France to Morocco, then that of a heritage that must pass from Morocco to France.
