VRE, Virtual Reality Experience where Virtuality becomes Reality!
From 5 to 9 November appointment at the former Barracks Guido Reni for the first edition of VRE – Virtual Reality Experience , an international event entirely dedicated to VR / AR / XR : the symbols of technology and immersive language that are changing our future, from science to art, from medicine to music and cinema, from communication to the corporate world. Designed and produced by Iconialab, under the artistic direction of Mariangela Matarozzo – who had already signed the futuristic Mashrome Film Fest – this event – within Videocittà – will invade a section of the pavilions of the former Guido Reni Barracks in a full immersion among new works from all over the world, speeches, meetings, virtual experiences, VR performances.
The works in competition
22 works in competition from the official selections of the major international film festivals, Tribeca Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival with contributions ranging from the United States of America to China, from Korea to Canada, from France to Spain and Italy.
Ample Space for the Experiences: a 360 ° dive between gaming, aesthetic experience and fantastic adventure in which the user is asked to interact, imagine, experiment and play and where the simulation turns into reality.
VRE – Virtual Reality Experience also investigates the impact of VR / AR / XR on performing arts: from theater to music, from electronics to visual arts. In a journey where artistic creativity is obliged to deal with the active interaction of a curious and very new public.
The days of talk on Virtual Reality
Then there is the vast territory of intellectual confrontation with three days of Talk in which we will investigate the impact of Virtual Reality on our experiences and our languages, starting with Storytelling and going on to wonder about new business scenarios and the revolution in the world of medicine and then move into the fields of the arts and the social, to learn how the extended Reality (Xr) can enhance the cultural heritage up to the current topic of Communicating the migration. From Mass Media to VR.
